Thailand, 17 February –Starting the year on a high note, DCD,Thailand – DCD’S first 2017 APAC event -took place on 17 February at Centara Grand Hotel and Convention Centre. The conference & expo brought together over 300 key senior professionals and contributors to the IT industry to discuss and debate ways to develop the potential Thailand offers as a bridge into the Indochina region, meaning attractive opportunities for the Data Center and Cloud community.dcd-2017-at-centara-centralworld-1

Based onthiscore theme, respected international speakers flew to Thailand to contribute, including John Duffin of Uptime Institute and Darragh Kennedy of Lonely Planet. Alongside them, local speakers such as SurachaiChatchalermpun of Maybank Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) and KositSuksingha of Thai Beverage Public Company Limitedadded their insights. PasamonPechrasuwanofFrost & Sullivan kicked off DCD>Thailand with a plenary address that focused on Thailand’s rapid technology adoption and on the future of the Indochina region. “I am glad to be a part of DCD,Thailand this year and delivering my analysis of the Cloud and Data Center landscape of the region. dcd-2017-at-centara-centralworld-13In line with DCD,Thailand’s aim to provide the market with a platform to showcase the latest innovations, TCCtech announced its Cloud-Enabled Data Center Expansion Plan. TCCtech has since invested THB 300 million to expand their facility, known as Thailand’s 1st and most strategic Carrier Neutral Data Center.To meet the high demand from their existing customer communities and prospects requiring access to Cloud, TCCtech announced that it will be partnering with 1-Net Singapore. This is due to their extensive knowledge and experience of data center design and operations spanning more than two decades.

According to IDC, Thailand will grow at an estimated a CAGR of 25% during the period 2015 to 2020. Mr. VoradisVinyaratn, Executive Director and Acting Managing Director of T.C.C. Technology Co., Ltd. said the community can look forward to the expanded data center to be ready for service in the 1st half of 2017. “We are privileged to partner with DCD at DCD,Thailand this year – it has been a great opportunity to share our latest developments with the rest of the IT community in the APAC region through this conference. Looking forward, DCD will be bringing conferences to the rest of the APAC community. Next is DCD,Indonesia on April 6 at The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta, focusing on “IT Transformation and Hybrid Architecture”.

This will be followed by conferences in China, India, Australia, culminating in Singapore with a week-long series of workshops, data center tours and the DCD,Zettastructure conference & expo forming South East Asia Data Center Week (18 – 21 September), bringing the entire APAC DC & Cloud Community together.
